The General Assembly is the Myanmar Red Cross Society’s highest governing body, convening every three years to set strategic directions and policies. Between these sessions, the Central Council acts as the governing body, consisting of 63 members, including 17 representatives from State and Division-level branches.
The Society’s governance is further supported by an Executive Committee made up of 10 members. Half of these members are retired professionals who dedicate their time and expertise on a voluntary basis. They play a crucial role in guiding policy-making and providing direction for the effective implementation of the organization’s activities. Together, these governing bodies ensure that the Myanmar Red Cross Society remains focused on its humanitarian mission and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.
