Every year, countless families across the world are separated from their loved ones by disaster, conflict, human trafficking and migration due to emergencies for any reasons. When families are separated, Myanmar Red Cross Society are cooperating the International Red Cross Red Crescent global tracing network to restore family links and facilitate the exchange of family news. The Restoring Family Links Services are free of charge and any information provided to us is confidential and also will be shared only with consent.

Objective
To help to reconnect families separated by conflict, natural disaster, man-made disasters and other humanitarian needs.
Background
Myanmar Red Cross Society Restoring Family Links Department, after Cyclone Nargis (2008), was established on May 8. The restoring family links activities are currently being carried out through (5) processes to provide assistance to affected families. There are 330 Red Cross branches in the Myanmar Red Cross Society in which Restoring Family Links Department is connected with the township Red Cross volunteers. Moreover, MRCS has a strong volunteer network of more than 400 volunteers who are actively participating in the family links services.
