Logistics and Supply Chain Management
The Myanmar Red Cross Society maintains a strong logistics and supply chain network to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of humanitarian assistance across the country. Through a nationwide system of active 23 strategically located warehouses, MRCS is able to pre-position emergency relief supplies and rapidly mobilize assistance to communities affected by disasters and emergencies.
Collectively, these warehouses have the capacity to store relief items sufficient for 21,500 households, enabling MRCS to respond quickly to both small-scale incidents and large-scale humanitarian crises. The logistics network supports the procurement, warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and distribution of emergency supplies, ensuring that aid reaches people in need efficiently, transparently, and with accountability.
By strengthening its logistics infrastructure and supply chain management, MRCS continues to enhance its emergency preparedness and response capacity, supporting vulnerable communities throughout Myanmar whenever and wherever assistance is needed.
